At Jet2 Virtual, our pilots progress through a challenging rank structure, where they gain access to more of the VA as they rank up. All pilots will start at the rank of cadet until they complete their checkride. Until you complete this, you won't be able to fly any routes for Jet2 Virtual. However, to get you flying as soon as possible, we always try to schedule you for your checkride as soon as you join.

Pilots then rank up from second officer to captain, progressively unlocking more and more of our fleet. As you reach the rank of captain, pilots can take advantage of our Jet2 Holidays scheme, which is discussed in more detail in the How we Fly section of our website.

Pilots then rank as far as Senior commander, where you become eligible to be a base commander. Base commanders are there to foster a sense of community in the base you choose, and to monitor their base's channel to make sure everyone is embodying the Jet2 spirit of friendliness!
